Day with the Girls

Yesterday, Jackson and I spent our last day of spring break hanging out with our great friends Joan and Roberta.  We met up in Lakeview at Dinkel's for some coffee (and a few other things) and then heading down to Wishbone for brunch.  We started off catching up and taking turns holding J, and then as Jackson was being passed on, he kick over a full glass of water.  Not a big deal, except that it was all over the floor and poor Roberta's pants.  So, we told someone in the restaurant about the water on the floor and he said he would clean it up.  So what does he do?  He brings over a broom.  That's right.  He "cleaned up" a huge puddle with a broom.  This is what it looked like after he cleaned it up:

The picture doesn't really do it justice.  It was everywhere and pretty wet.  Anyway, we continued our lovely brunch and Jackson loved being held by Joan and Roberta.

He played, laughed, talked, spit up, and even peed on Joan.  After brunch, we walked across the street to a nail salon.  Joan and I got a mani pedi...

while Roberta held Jackson as he fell asleep on her.  (She just got her nails done the day before.)  Jackson looked so comfortable and peaceful sleeping on Roberta.

And Joan and I got to wear some awesome electric heated boots.

After his nap, Jackson woke up and although he didn't get his nails done, he did sit in the massage chair.

After the salon, we ended our day at Dinkel's of course, and got a few more things.  Between the three of us I think we got 3 donuts, 2 pieces of black forest cake, 3 or 4 cupcakes, 1 cannoli, and 2 pieces of cheesecake.  There was probably more but I can't remember.  Over all it was a great day, with lots of laughs and plenty of kisses for Jackson.  A perfect way to end spring break!
